Personal Tax Manager (Part-Time) Location: Cheltenham Salary: 47,000 54,000 FTE (dependent on experience) An established and growing firm of accountants, tax, and business advisers based in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join its expanding team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tax professional to play a key role in a high-quality practice, working with a varied portfolio of clients including businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals across the UK. The Role: Managing and developing team members, including reviewing their work Hands-on preparation and review of personal tax client work Working closely with the Director on tax planning projects and technical assignments Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser Identifying and advising on tax planning opportunities Contributing commercially to the continued growth of the practice, including business development and networking Role Requirements: Previous Personal Tax or Mixed Tax experience within a practice environment is essential Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and guidance Strong interpersonal skills with a people-focused approach Highly organised, confident, and diligent, with a commitment to deadlines Ideal Candidate Profile: CTA qualified preferred (or qualified by experience) Proven experience delivering high-quality tax work within budget Strong technical tax knowledge Experience working within a tax-focused environment Self-motivated and capable of working independently Knowledge of expatriate tax is advantageous Keen to contribute to the overall success and growth of the firm What's on Offer: Competitive salary of 47,000 54,000 FTE 25 days' annual leave (FTE) plus bank holidays Paid professional membership and CPD Hybrid and flexible working (typically 2 days per week in the Cheltenham office) Company pension Flexitime and home working Hours: Ideally 34 days per week (22.530 hours) Permanent, part-time position This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing firm at an exciting stage of its journey, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact.
