Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Pyro Inspector to join our inspection team. In this role, youll be responsible for verifying the quality and safety of highly specialised components used in complex mechanical systems.Youll play a key part in testing and inspecting pyrotechnic parts, ensuring processes are followed correctly, and that components meet strict engineering and safety standards. Your work will support the wider production team in delivering mission-critical equipment with precision and care.Your benefits in detail:Highly competitive 9% non-contributory pension scheme (18+)4x salary Life Assurance (18+)Personalised training and development plan.Healthcare Cash Plan.25-days annual leave plus bank holidays.The ability to purchase additional leave maximum 1 week.Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave.Cycle to work scheme Key Responsibilities:Perform testing, inspection, and booking-in of pyrotechnic components using established techniques and procedures.Carry out self-inspection and internal quality checks in line with quality management standards.Maintain inspection records and documentation in accordance with company policies.Use SAP or equivalent ERP systems to record all work in progress.Track component batches through the production process and ensure records are kept up to date.Accurately record the physical location of parts and report any non-conforming components.Skills & Experience Required:Previous inspection experience in aerospace, Defence, or automotive environments.Strong numeracy and geometry skills; able to carry out data analysis.Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings.Confident using inspection tools and equipment such as verniers, micrometres, and gauges.Understanding of technical tolerances and mechanical reasoning.Prior experience working with explosive materials or AS9102 FAIR processes is desirable.
