Job Description Position: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Castle Donington Hybrid/FlexibleContract: Outside IR35Type: Full-TimeThe RoleThis is a contract outside IR35 role working on a project involving designing a range of turbomachinery related components.Key Responsibilities:Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX.Generate engineering drawings.Perform engineering design calculations eg Perform tolerance stack-up analysis.Preparation of engineering design reports.Engage with suppliers and lead design for manufacturing activities.Ensure designs meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.Required qualifications and experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Experience designing turbomachinery, particularly blades/turbines.Experience using BS8888 and/or ASME Y14.5Proficiency in NX software is essential.Strong skills in mechanical calculations and GD&T are essential.Experience designing turbomachinery or related components is essential.Experience using Teamcenter, or similar PLM systems.Good communication skills with the ability to work in a small team as a self-starter.If you feel you have the experience and qualifications to succeed in this role, then please apply.
