It is an advantage if you already have knowledge of the motorhome/caravan market, but this is not critical. Below are some examples of the necessary skills required:Woodworking or similar professional/expert DIY standardGood problem-solving skills.Exceptional customer service skills.Well organised with good attention to detail.Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervisedType of Work/dutiesWorking with wood and composite materials to effect repairsWorking to pre-prepared estimates in line with timescalesWorking as part of a team, helping others to achieve the sameThis individual needs to be driven, self-motivated with an enquiring and technical mind. Leisure vehicle(caravan/motorhome) experience is preferred but this individual will need to have been involved in working with wood/grp/composite materials in the past. A basic understanding of 12v and electrics will be required. Training will be given however the basics need to be covered. Above all, the correct candidate for this role will possess a 'can do' attitude and an enthusiasm to develop the position further as time progresses and bring their own ideas to assist in this achievement. Main duties will include, working within a workshop environment, carrying out refurbishing the interiors and exteriors of caravans and Motorhomes, using woodwork skills to cut and fit boards in place.
