Job Description Waste Champion - Food Manufacturing (FTC)Temp Role to cover MAT Leave 6-month contractSite based at our client site - 54 Church St, Caldewgate, Carlisle, CA2 5TGJob OverviewSite Waste Champion is responsible for the communication and execution of the Imperfect Product sales agenda and associated site waste streams, reporting to the central functional lead.The candidate will typically be responsible for the organisation and maximum collection opportunities in each product category of imperfect product.They will collaborate effectively and escalate potential risks to key stakeholders.Deliver documented reports on waste stream progress on a weekly basis to key stakeholders.The role will cover multiple waste streams across the site including card, plastic, animal feed, R1 Reduce, R2 Reuse, R3 Recycle. This list is not exhaustive.Main DutiesBuilding strong relationships with both internal and external customersEnsure maximum return is achieved where possible on the sale of wasteDeliver the weekly and monthly Imperfect Product sales numbers vs forecastSupporting the UK Waste Specialist and Site Management Teams through reports and analysis that aid decision making where requiredProvide details of any scope data relevant to the role i.e., weekly net salesMaintenance of Imperfect Product Dashboard through tracking volumeWhat we are looking forEffective at building relationshipsWorking autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goalLogical mind and eye for detailProficient Excel and PowerPoint skills including data analysis, advanced formula creation, pivot tables, and generating weekly and monthly reportsIdeally educated to degree levelAbility to interact with people at all levelsOrganised & detailed individualGood communicatorProactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
