Press Brake Operator

The Business: Global reach with a strong local presence Long-established and financially secure Modern, well-equipped facilities Innovative, forward-thinking environment The Role of the Press Brake Operator: Read and interpret shop orders and engineering drawings to complete jobs accurately Set up and operate press brakes to bend, form, shape or straighten plate and sheet metal Verify dimensions using precision tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to meet spec Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance before/after shifts Adjust settings (speed, feed, backgauge/path) for safe, consistent, high-quality output Test and fine-tune machine operation using gauges and hand tools per product spec Inspect finished/assembled parts for conformance to quality standards Process and update shop orders within the ERP system Follow all H&S procedures and wear required PPE Report equipment issues or quality concerns promptly to supervisors Requirements of the Press Brake Operator At least 2 years Press Brake operating experience Ideally able to use guillotine, bandsaw and laser cutting equipment FLT (Forklift Truck) licence Full UK driving licence Benefits of the Press Brake Operator: Permanent contract with long-term security 28 days holiday including bank holidays Enhanced overtime rates Sick pay after 1 years service Contributory pension scheme Discretionary annual bonus Death-in-service benefit Cash health benefit scheme Employee Assistance Programme Genuine scope to grow within a stable, supportive global business If the role and responsibilities sound like a good fit for you, then Id love to speak to you!
