IDVA -Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (males) DYN Project Based: Cardiff main office, when meeting clients other travel is expected. Salary Scale: 24,302.07 25,053.75 25,828.61 Hours per week: 36:25 hours 5 days per week Fixed term basis to 31st March 2026 , maybe extended subject to funding. Offer is subject to Eligibility to Work in the UK check, satisfactory references and enhanced DBS. Closing date: 16/11/2025 Interviews held on 27TH and 28TH Nov 2025 Safer Wales is an independent charity whose mission is to support, protect and empower groups of people that are often invisible in society. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers has helped protect tens of thousands of people of all ages, genders and backgrounds, including victims of domestic violence, sex workers, hate crime victims and ex-offenders. Our Dyn project provides support to Heterosexual, Gay, Bisexual and Trans men who are experiencing domestic abuse from a partner. We are now recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to work within our Dyn project. The successful candidate will provide specialist gender specific support and advocacy to men who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence. Job outline: Provide holistic support to male victims of domestic and/or sexual violence. Deliver an effective helpline for male victims, ensuring accessible and responsive support. Multi-Agency Partnership Working -linking in, where appropriate, with existing services and wider support for Male Victims Deliver training sessions to professionals, increasing awareness and improving responses to male victims. Supporting Safer Wales with future development of our services Youll bring: Proven service delivery experience in a safeguarding or related setting. Strong knowledge of domestic and sexual violence dynamics and risk. Confidence working in multi-agency operational partnerships. Excellent communication and presentation skills to support training delivery.
