Job Description Quality AdvisorLocation: Site-Based Two Live SchemesContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours: 40 per week (MondayFriday)engstaff-in are working on behalf of their client, a leading main contractor operating within the construction market, to recruit a Quality Advisor for a major 118m project delivered across two sites. The scheme has recently commenced, with drainage and civils works underway, creating an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in setting quality standards from the outset.This position is ideal for someone motivated, proactive, and eager to build their reputation on a complex, high profile programme. You will be site based, splitting your time between both schemes, and supported by an experienced wider quality and project leadership team.The RoleAs Quality Advisor, you will be a highly visible presence on site, supporting the delivery teams to ensure quality is embedded into daily construction activities. You will report into a non site based Quality Manager, while working closely with Project and Production Leads across both schemes.This is a hands on, practical role where you will be involved in inspections, audits, quality planning, and subcontractor engagement from the early phases of construction through to completion. The early stage nature of the project offers genuine influence and the chance to help shape how quality is delivered across both sites.What You Will BringDegree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related disciplineAlternatively, strong site experience supported by relevant construction qualifications or apprenticeshipsValid CSCS Card (essential)Experience working in a Quality Advisor, Quality Engineer, or similar role within constructionKnowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry standardsFamiliarity with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality PlansAwareness of health 'safety legislation (NEBOSH or similar beneficial)Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site teams, subcontractors, and managementStrong attention to detail with a methodical, process driven approachGood digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality management softwareA driven mindset with the ambition to progress within a growing quality functionCore ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of the project Quality Management System across both sitesCarry out regular site inspections, audits, and quality checksAssist in the preparation, management, and review of Quality Plans and ITPsIdentify quality risks early and support mitigation strategiesWork closely with subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are clearly understoodManage non-conformances, corrective actions, and close-out processesMaintain accurate quality records and reportingProvide quality updates to the Quality Manager and site leadership teamsPromote a proactive quality culture across all site activitiesContribute to continuous improvement and best practice initiativesWhats on OfferNegotiable salary (dependent on experience)Monthly car allowancePermanent, site based role across two live schemesOpportunity to join a 118m project at an early stageStrong support from a central Quality Manager and experienced project teamsClear progression opportunitiesExposure to technically varied works across multiple sitesImmediate start available
