Job Description EstimatorAre you an experienced Estimator looking for a stable, long-term role within a well-established manufacturing business in Cardiff?Were working with a reputable manufacturer that produces bespoke engineered products and requires a commercially minded Estimator to support their quoting and order process. This is an office-based role where accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical information is key.The RoleAs an Estimator, youll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for bespoke engineered products, analysing customer specifications, materials, and labour requirements. Youll work closely with internal teams to ensure quotations are commercially sound, technically compliant, and delivered within agreed timescales.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing accurate quotations for bespoke manufacturing projects using internal systemsReviewing customer enquiries to ensure suitable and compliant solutions are offeredBuilding detailed cost estimates including materials, labour and production costsIssuing drawings for approval and ensuring all orders are fully agreed prior to release to productionCommunicating with customers to clarify specifications and respond to quotation queriesPreparing and submitting quotations within agreed deadlinesIdentifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or complianceMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and internal standardsWorking closely with Projects, Technical and Operations teams to support smooth deliveryWhat Were Looking ForExperience in estimating within a manufacturing or engineering environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong numerical, analytical and attention-to-detail skillsConfident using Microsoft Excel and estimating software (AutoCAD or similar advantageous)Ability to manage multiple quotations and work to deadlinesClear and professional communication skillsExperience working with bespoke or engineered products advantageousWhats On OfferSalary of 30,000Cardiff-based roleFull training and onboarding providedStable, growing manufacturing businessLong-term career opportunityThis role may also be of interest to candidates with experience in:Estimator, Cost Estimator, Manufacturing Estimator, Technical Estimator, Applications Engineer (Estimating), Quotations Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Sales Support Engineer, Tendering Engineer, Costing Engineer.Interested?We recommend applying as soon as possible, as our client is looking to shortlist for interviews promptly.If youd like more information before applying, feel free to give me a call Im always happy to help.JBRP1_UKTJ
