Interim Financial Accountant

Interim Financial Accountant | Cardiff area/hybrid | 55,000-60,000 The Financial Accountant will support the Finance team in providing financial analysis in a range of areas, with the opportunity to implement improvements in processes and procedures, to increase efficiency and effectiveness. The role will include the processing of day-to-day financial transactions, preparation of monthly management accounts, working in collaboration with the Finance Business Partners and assisting with audits and the production of statutory financial statements. Responsibilities: General ledger accounting, with responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet and resolving any issues as and when they arise. Assisting with the preparation and reporting of management information and providing data insights where appropriate. Working with the Financial Controller and other team members to optimise use of current and future technology and assisting with driving efficiencies and improvements in various projects. Experience: Professional working experience in a financial reporting role ACCA or ACA qualified Experienced user of Excel Experience using an ERP system Excellent attention to detail Experience of working in large complex businesses Strong technical statutory reporting knowledge including VAT and Tax returns.
