Job DescriptionPurpose of the RoleTo provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Executive and ensure efficient and effective management of their workload. This role is critical in supporting the operational and strategic delivery of Commonwealth Games Wales objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive EA support, including:Diary management and meeting schedulingOrganising travel arrangements and itinerariesPreparing meeting papers, agendas, and minutesMonitoring and prioritising emails and correspondenceSupport the preparation of reports, Board papers, presentations, and briefing documents to a high standard.Manage and maintain several Excel master documents related to hotel room allocations and partner events in preparation for the Games in Glasgow 2026, ensuring all data is accurate, up to date, and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.Maintain efficient electronic filing systems and document management.Coordinate internal and external meetings and events as required.Support general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Person SpecificationEssential:Significant experience in a PA or EA role, providing support at senior management or executive level.Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).High competence across all Microsoft Office platforms (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision and handle sensitive information with discretion.Desirable:Experience within a sport, charity, or not-for-profit environment.Welsh speaking.Experience supporting Boards or Committees.Key AttributesProfessional, reliable, and adaptable approach.Positive, solutions-focused mindset.Confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.Commitment to the values and mission of Commonwealth Games Wales.How to ApplyPlease submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role to [email protected] by 25th July at 12midday.
