Sustainability / Environmental Lead – Data Centre ProjectLocation: Newport, South Wales£70,000-£80,000 + BenefitsA leading international main contractor is seeking a Sustainability / Environmental Advisor to join their team on a major hyperscale data centre development in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a progressive organisation delivering complex, high-tech projects across the UK and Europe.The successful candidate will play a key role in driving environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and best practices across the lifecycle of the project.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company standardsConduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsSupport the delivery of sustainability strategies and targets (e.g. BREEAM, circular economy, carbon reduction)Advise site teams on environmental and sustainability mattersPrepare environmental reports and maintain project documentationLiaise with clients, local authorities, and third-party stakeholdersPromote a culture of continuous environmental improvement on-siteRequirements:A degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related disciplinePrior experience working in a similar advisory role within constructionKnowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation and sustainability frameworksStrong communication and organisational skillsPrevious experience on data centre or high-tech construction projects is highly desirableWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary + excellent benefits packageLong-term opportunity on a landmark projectJoin a respected contractor with a strong track record across Europe in delivering technically complex schemesIf you're passionate about sustainability and want to make a real impact on a high-profile project, this could be the ideal role for you.
