*About the job- Production team leader *Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.Health & Beauty manufacturer currently recruiting a number of Production Team Leaders to work in their brand new, state-of-the-art production facility in Canvey Island. This role sits within the Operations & Production team and will report directly to the Production Manager.The Team Leader will oversee the production team, ensuring the delivery of the production plan, adherence to quality standards, and the health, safety, and well-being of their team members.*Shift ** Rotating early and late shift pattern* 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00*Key Activities** Take responsibility for monitoring and improving team performance, quality standards, and compliance with health 'safety regulations.* Lead and manage the team, handling confidential matters such as absence and performance concerns, and conducting regular one-to-one meetings.* Oversee the execution of the production plan, collaborating with departments like Planning, Quality, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and minimal production loss.* Champion the use of the company’s ERP system within your team, ensuring accurate data management and workflow.* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments for your area.* Lead and participate in problem-solving initiatives, utilizing techniques like PDCA and 5W/2H to identify and resolve production issues.* Ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene through the implementation of a 5S regime.* Actively promote continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.*Skills & Experience** A proactive and motivated individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet production targets.* Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a background in health & beauty or a similar industry.* Strong communication skills, comfortable conducting team briefs and representing your product area in meetings.* Sound understanding of quality conformity requirements and continuous improvement practices within the manufacturing industry.* A data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in identifying and addressing root causes of issues.*Package** £12.50-£14.50 per hour, overtime paid* 23 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays* Increased pension contribution* On-site parking* Opportunities for leadership development and career progressionJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £12.50-£14.50 per hourWork Location: In person
