Marine Engineer South Cornwall Location: South Cornwall Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hourly Rate: Approx. 16.00 per hour (currently under review) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm (40 hours/week) This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with marine mechanical systems up to 1000hp who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical engineering on a range of boats (up to 1000hp) Interact with clients on-site, promoting services and upholding high professional standards Work effectively as part of a skilled team to deliver quality and efficiency across projects Support continuous improvement and business development through input and feedback Maintain and promote high standards of health and safety at all times Candidate Requirements Essential: Proven and current experience as a marine mechanical engineer Strong understanding of marine engines and systems up to 1000hp Full UK driving licence Strong teamworking and communication skills Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a marine environment Desirable: Experience with marine electrical systems Customer-facing experience or training Whats on Offer Approx. 16.00 per hour (subject to review) 40-hour week: Monday to Friday, 8:00am4:30pm, with hour lunch break Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate 21 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays Paid day off on your birthday Life insurance (2x annual salary in the event of death in service) Accident insurance (75% of salary for up to 2 years, applicable at home or work) Private healthcare scheme, with option to extend to close family TPBN1_UKTJ
