We are seeking a personable and experienced Mammographer to actively lead and develop the mammography service at Welbeck Health Partners brand-new site in Cambridge. This position will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-focused care, whilst overseeing a growing imaging team and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulatory requirements. We require an individual who can embed best practice standards into the day-to-day delivery of the mammography service, through collaboration, partnership, and close working relationships with clinical colleagues and the wider leadership team.You will be supported by the Diagnostic Imaging Manager but will also work closely with the Centres senior leadership team, radiology colleagues, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders to implement and continuously improve the mammography service.Responsibilities:Lead and develop the mammography service from screening to biopsy, ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient experience.Promote clinical leadership through all aspects of the role by supporting and mentoring staff across the imaging team.Manage day-to-day operations of the mammography service, including staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.Oversee cross-modality support within CT, X-ray/theatre, and/or MRI and other imaging services as requiredFoster a positive, constructive, and supportive team culture aligned with Welbeck values.Ensure adherence to all regulatory, governance, and clinical standards, including HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.Contribute to service development, resource management, and budget planning for the imaging department.Support recruitment, induction, training, appraisal, and professional development of the imaging team.Identify, report, and escalate clinical and non-clinical concerns, incidents, or risks in accordance with governance policies.Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development to enhance patient care.What can you bring?Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC registration.Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (essential).Proven expertise in mammography and interventional techniques.Experience in leading, supervising, or managing clinical teams.Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across functions.Adaptability to deliver cross-modality cover within CT, MRI, or General X-Ray/Theatre.Commitment to delivering care in line with Welbeck values: Collaboration, Ambition, Kindness, and Empowerment.RecommendationsWere currently recruiting for a variety of management, clinical, and non-clinical roles across Oxford and Cambridge if this role isnt for you, but you would be interested in exploring roles feel free to share your details.If you know someone who may be interested in this or other roles in a new private hospital, we offer a 200 voucher referral reward for every successful recommendation.
