Job DescriptionDo you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Cambridge, CambridgeshireSalary: 85 - 95 per day (depending on experience)Contract: TemporaryStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleOutreach Staffing Solutions are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant's to join our team to support a number of schools across the Cambridge area. This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them access learning, develop independence, and reach their full potential within a positive and inclusive environment.You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, which may include autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN.Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.Support pupils with learning activities, communication, and social development.Assist with behaviour management strategies where required.Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.RequirementsExperience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, care settings, or similar environments) is desirable.A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.What We OfferTemp-to-perm opportunitiesThe chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.Flexibility to allow you to decide your own working patternCompetitive salary and term-time working.SafeguardingOutreach Staffing Solutionsis committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. xjdpvnf All appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
