Due to sustained project wins and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an Associate Transport Planner to support and help lead projects from their Cambridge office.This consultancy is well known within the development sector for delivering pragmatic, evidence-led transport solutions across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, education, and energy developments. They have built an excellent reputation for technical quality, collaborative working and developing their staff.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner looking to step into a senior leadership role, with responsibility for managing projects, supporting junior team members, and playing a key role in winning new business and developing client relationships.Key responsibilities will include:Leading transport planning inputs across a range of development projectsPreparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel PlansUndertaking transport modelling, accessibility assessments and active travel strategiesManaging client relationships and liaising with local authorities and stakeholdersSupporting and mentoring junior team membersPlaying an active role in business development, including identifying opportunities, building client relationships, contributing to bids and helping to secure new workSupporting the commercial performance and growth of the Cambridge teamAbout YouI am keen to speak with candidates who have:Several years' experience in transport planning, ideally within consultancyStrong technical report writing and analytical skillsExperience preparing development planning documentationDemonstrable experience or strong interest in winning work, business development and client relationship managementConfidence engaging with clients, developers and local authoritiesA proactive, commercially aware and collaborative approachProgression towards, or achievement of, a relevant professional qualification (desirable)What's On OfferStrong career progression opportunities within a growing consultancyThe opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing a regional teamExposure to varied, high-profile development projectsSupportive and collaborative working cultureFlexible and hybrid working arrangementsCompetitive salary and benefits packageIf you are considering your next move and would like to learn more about this opportunity, please get in touch for a confidential discussion with Michael from Aldwych Consulting.
