A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a well-established, forward-thinking financial services business with a strong presence in the insurance sector. This role offers a unique chance to work across a broad range of legal matters, partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to high-impact commercial and corporate projects.As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key part in a collaborative and high-performing legal team, supporting the business across commercial, regulatory, and corporate legal matters. From negotiating major contracts to offering strategic legal advice, you’ll have a real opportunity to influence and shape how the business operates.Key Responsibilities:Advise stakeholders across the business on a range of legal matters, including underwriting, claims, finance, and regulatory issuesDraft and negotiate commercial contracts, including material outsourcing, SAAS, IT, data processing and IP agreement.Provide legal support on corporate strategy, regulatory issues, and company lawManage litigation records, CCJs, and regulatory challengesMentor and support junior legal team membersEnsure policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with relevant legislationKey Requirements:Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (England & Wales or equivalent)5+ years PQE, ideally with a mix of in-house and/or private practice experienceProven experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industriesSkilled in commercial contracts, including outsourcing and tech/SaaS agreementsStrong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skillsEnjoys mentoring and knowledge sharingDetail-driven, collaborative, and commercially mindedPlease note, should feedback not be received within 28 days due to the large volume of applications, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful.
