About the Company: Our client is a globally recognised leader in the development of advanced communications technology, operating as part of a multi-national group with revenues in the billions. Their solutions power next-generation connectivity across a range of sectors, including satellite, wireless, and secure communications. With a strong pipeline of innovation-driven projects, they are growing their engineering team and seeking a DSP Engineer to support and lead digital signal processing developments.Role Overview: As a DSP Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of real-time signal processing algorithms for cutting-edge communication systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable DSP solutions used in mission-critical environments.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop DSP algorithms for modulation, demodulation, filtering, error correction, synchronization, and other signal processing tasksImplement algorithms in simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and in embedded environments (e.g., C/C++ on DSPs, FPGAs, or SoCs)Analyze system-level performance, including link budgets and BER performanceCollaborate with FPGA, software, and systems engineers to support hardware-software integrationOptimize DSP code for computational efficiency, memory usage, and real-time constraintsParticipate in design reviews, verification activities, and lab-based testing of communications systemsRequired Skills and Experience:Strong experience in digital signal processing for communications systemsHands-on experience with implementation in C/C++ for embedded systems or fixed-point processorsSolid understanding of key DSP concepts: FFTs, FIR/IIR filters, adaptive filtering, modulation techniques, channel coding, etc.Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal development environmentsAbility to interpret and influence system-level design decisionsDesirable Qualifications:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (advanced degrees preferred)Experience with FPGA/ASIC development or hardware/software co-designBackground in wireless, satellite, or secure communicationsFamiliarity with tools such as GNU Radio, Xilinx Vivado, or Texas Instruments DSP SDKsWhats on Offer:Work on high-impact projects within a global communications leaderAccess to world-class technology, labs, and cross-disciplinary teamsA collaborative culture with strong technical mentorship and career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensation, with performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits packageBenefits include hybrid/remote working, 25 days annual leave, 8% pension scheme, private medical insurance, life assurance 4x salary, continuous training and development, employee reward and recognition scheme, employee assistance programme and BUPA wellbeing services.JBRP1_UKTJ
