Coating Operative

Were looking for a hands-on and dependableProduction Operatorto join our coatings department in a full-time, temp-to-perm role. Youll start on a day shift while learning the process, then transition into rotating shifts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a precision-focused production environment.Youll be based in a production facility that includes heavy lifting equipment, coating chambers, and process chemicals, with some outdoor exposure. All work is carried out to high industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap), so precision and compliance are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out secondary contract reviewsPrepare components (cleaning, blasting, masking)Load work efficiently using jigs and fixturesSet up and maintain coating chambersPerform load testing and inspect resultsReview data logs for quality controlPack and dispatch completed partsAdditional responsibilities include:Following operating procedures and health & safety standardsPerforming maintenance on fixtures and coating equipmentConducting routine checks on production systemsMaintaining a clean and organised work area (5S)Participating in audits and continuous improvement activitiesProviding emergency transport cover when requiredWhat Were Looking ForEssential:Secondary education or equivalent experienceWilling and able to work shifts (including nights)Physically fit and capable of manual handlingFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Prior experience in coatings or surface prep (training provided)Forklift truck licenceBasic IT skillsBenefits:Night shift bonusOvertime at Premium ratesShould the role become permanent, additional benefits include:Bonus scheme Paid twice yearlyPension Matched contributions up to 8%Healthcare Basic healthcare schemeLife insurance Upon qualificationIf youre reliable, safety-conscious, and looking to grow into a permanent role within a high-performing production team, wed love to hear from you.
