Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Cambridge, is looking for a proactive Production Planner to join their growing team.The Role As Production Planner, you’ll be the link between sales, procurement, and manufacturing — ensuring production schedules are met efficiently, on time, and to customer requirements. You’ll coordinate resources, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to keep operations flowing.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain daily/weekly production schedulesCoordinate materials and resources to meet customer ordersMonitor manufacturing progress and resolve scheduling issuesWork closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teamsAnalyse capacity and workload to optimise efficiencyMaintain accurate production data and reportsAbout YouPrevious experience in a production planning or scheduling role, ideally within manufacturingStrong organisational and time management skillsProficient in Excel and ERP/MRP systemsExcellent communication skills, able to work cross-functionallyAnalytical mindset with a problem-solving approach
