iRecruit4 are hiring for Engineers for our market leading manufacturing client based in Calne. This position offers fantastic rates of pay with great working hours and working environment. Duties of the Engineer: Strip, clean, service and re-assemble complex tools. Check newly set tool configurations, and approve the handover to the production team. Identify any tooling issues and work with machinists and vendors, to come up with costings and action plans. Carry out any necessary remedial work in the most cost effective manner. Clearly communicate issues to planning, production and other departments and ensure that these are successfully resolved in the agreed timeframes, to minimise downtime and production delays. Hands on approach, with a strong desire and willingness to investigate and successfully resolve difficult tooling problems. Previous Experience of the Engineer: Must be capable of working with a minimum amount of supervision, and preferably have 5 years of experience or more using lathes, milling machines and various other types tool making and repair equipment. Be willing to work alone at times, and as part of a multi-functional team. ONC (Level 3) qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline. Good working knowledge of materials and die making processes. Experience of polymers would be a bonus, but is not essential. Must be capable of using a wide range of tools and different types of handling equipment. CAD CAM experience would be useful. High level of safety awareness and attention to detail. Computer literate (MS Office Word, Excel etc) Additional Information: Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00 14.80 - 20.00 Per Hour.
