Procurement Manager

Job DescriptionSummaryHays are exclusively partnered with an SME manufacturing business that's been operating for over 50 years to recruit a motivated Procurement Manager to join their small but mighty team. You'll be the go-to for procurement needs across the business, working closely with Directors and stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, procurement processes and supplier relationship management. You can expect to be leading on all procurements of parts and components, ensuring a cost-effective, quality approach is taken to raw material sourcing and be working with international suppliers and stakeholders to navigate the ever-changing supply chain.This role will be based on-site in Calne, offering a salary of up to 50,000 with a 20% bonus. Key ResponsibilitiesLead on negotiating pricing, lead times and payment/contract terms with domestic and international suppliersManage the end-to-end procurements of raw materials, parts and components.Run weekly MRP reports to determine stock levels and appropriate replenishment Manage supplier relationships across China & Europe to ensure contractual performance via KPIs on quality, cost and delivery.Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategiesEnsure sourcing practices meet import regulations and ethical sourcing practicesUtilise SAP to raise purchase ordersStay close to market trends, material cost increases Collaborate with the Production and Sales team to ensure the availability of inventoryWork closely with the Finance team for budget and spending reviews, along with supplier paymentsKey Skills & Experience:Proven experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing/engineering environment (circa 5 years+)Strong negotiation and influencing skillsCIPS qualifications would be desirable, but relevant experience will be acceptedIT Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP, along with the MS Suite.Confident communication abilities, comfortable working with international and domestic suppliers as well as internal stakeholdersCommercially astute with a proactive mindsetYou will need to be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
