This role supports production by maintaining, repairing, and manufacturing precision tooling to tight tolerances.The RoleYou will diagnose faults, repair tooling, and manufacture components using manual milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders. Working closely with production teams, youll ensure tooling performance supports efficient and high-quality output. Full training and development will be provided for the right individual.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair precision tooling and machine componentsOperate manual milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders to drawing tolerancesRead and interpret technical drawingsCollaborate with production to resolve tooling issuesSuggest improvements to tooling and processesMaintain high standards of quality and safetyRequirementsProven experience as a Toolmaker or precision machinist in a production environmentStrong knowledge of toolroom equipment and practicesAbility to work to tight tolerances and deadlinesStrong xjdpvnf problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamTime-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in toolmaking or mechanical engineeringWhats on Offer30k40k salaryOnsite role in MildenhallStable, full-time position within a specialist manufacturing environmentOngoing training and long-term development opportunities
