Shift Manager

Job Description A leading food manufacturer based in Staffordshire is expanding its production operation and is now looking to appoint an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen the leadership team on site. Working with a well-established and growing business, this is an excellent opportunity for a confident production leader to take ownership of shift performance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.This role will suit a hands-on Shift Manager who has strong experience within high care / high risk food production environments and is comfortable leading large teams while driving standards around food safety, quality and operational efficiency.Shift Pattern:Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00 14:00 14:00 22:00Key ResponsibilitiesLead and motivate a large production team to achieve daily production targetsEnsure compliance with food safety, quality and hygiene standards, particularly within high care and high risk areasDrive operational performance across production, labour efficiency and waste reductionSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operationWork closely with technical, engineering and planning teams to ensure smooth shift performanceProvide clear leadership, coaching and development for team leaders and operativesMaintain a strong culture of health 'safety and GMP standardsAbout YouProven experience working as a Shift Manager within food manufacturingStrong experience managing large production teams in a fast-paced environmentPrevious exposure to high care and/or high risk food productionConfident communicator with the ability to influence and lead from the frontGood understanding of food manufacturing KPIs, quality systems and compliance standardsDriven, organised and capable of managing performance across multiple production linesThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Shift Manager to join a growing manufacturer that is investing in its people, production capability and long-term site development.If you are an experienced Shift Manager looking for your next challenge within a progressive food manufacturing business, we would be keen to speak with you.
