We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join Metro, working on-site with one of our long-standing and valued clients, Pirelli. With a strong and collaborative partnership developed over many years, this role is based at the Pirelli office, offering the unique chance to contribute directly to their operations while being employed and supported by Metro.The Import Export Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for executing and coordinating all activities related to the movement of goods across international borders. This role ensures that imports and exports are carried out in a timely, compliant, and cost-effective manner, adhering to international trade laws and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting global supply chain operations and ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesImport/Export Operations CoordinationManage and monitor end-to-end logistics for both import and export shipments via air, sea, and land.Schedule and track shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouse teams, and suppliers to facilitate cross-border trade.Coordinate pick-up, delivery, customs clearance, and final-mile logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.Documentation and CompliancePrepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation including: -Commercial invoices -Packing lists -Certificates of origin -Export declarations -Bills of lading / airway bills -Import permits / licensesEnsure all documentation is complete and compliant with local and international trade regulations, including HS codes, Incoterms, and customs requirements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations in key markets and assist with classification, valuation, and tariff issues.Assist with internal or external audits by providing required documentation and reports.Systems and RecordkeepingEnter logistics and shipping data into ERP systems (SAP/SMT).Maintain shipping logs, trackers, and compliance records.Generate weekly/monthly reports on shipment status, lead times, costs, and issues.Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners.Provide real-time updates on shipment status and address any delays, damages, or discrepancies.Escalate urgent logistics issues and propose corrective actions.Process ImprovementSupport continuous improvement initiatives to streamline shipping processes and reduce costs.Participate in vendor performance evaluations and logistics cost analysis.Recommend and implement best practices for international trade compliance and supply chain optimization.Qualifications:EducationBachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).Additional certifications in trade compliance are an advantage.Experience2–5 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or freight forwarding.Hands-on experience with international shipping, customs clearance, and trade compliance.Technical SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with ERP systems (preferrable).Knowledge of global Incoterms, HS codes, and customs procedures.Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and coordination abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Working Conditions:Office-based (smart working policy) with occasional visits to warehouses or freight terminals.May require flexible working hours especially during the month end period.Why Join Us?Be part of a global supply chain operation with impact across international markets.Gain exposure to diverse logistics challenges and development opportunities.
