Purchasing Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to play a pivotal role in the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support our expanding operation.The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, lead and contribute to the team.What you'll do On-going development of the purchasing strategyResponsible for price and contract negotiation of circa £50M of VEKA plc’s spendFocused on product cost reduction, value engineering, savings and efficienciesProvide industry insight to internal stakeholdersManage supplier relationships from selection to product availabilityOn-going review of supplier performanceManagement of Purchasing Team including 1-2-1's and objective settingManage MRP for all direct inventoryWhat you'll needCIPS qualified from L5 or possess 6 years+ Procurement or Supply Chain experienceProficient in supplier sourcing, vendor appraisal, formal tenders and price negotiationPrevious experience with SAP is desirable but not essentialHighly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to work closely with other team members and to engage stakeholdersCommitted to upholding ethical standards and values, and to act with integrityWhat you'llPrivate healthcareEnhanced pension25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Annual bonusDiscounted gym membershipFree on-site parking
