This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, learn from experienced engineers, and be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and long-term thinking.About the Role:Reporting to the Product Design & Development Engineer, you’ll be involved in every stage of new product development, including:Market research and competitor benchmarkingLiaising with suppliers to source new componentsSupporting prototype manufacture and assemblyTesting and refining prototypes for productionProviding input and support throughout the product lifecycleInitially, you’ll assist with ongoing projects, but as your experience grows, so too will your opportunities - including the chance to take the lead on new product design from concept to completion.Skills and Experience sought from the Product Designer:1-3 years’ experience (including work placements)Background in product design within a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with metal fabrication and prototyping is a bonusProficient in CAD - SolidWorks preferredIn return:The salary on offer is within the range of £28k to £35k plus company pension.
