Job Description Legal Counsel Data, Digital & PrivacySussex / Hybrid workingReporting to Head of LegalSSQ is partnering with a leading global healthcare and tech company to appoint a Legal Counsel in to join its UK legal team.This is an opportunity for a 2-5PQE commercially minded lawyer to play an integral role in supporting the companys digital transformation and data innovation agenda. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance across digital solutions, data governance, and privacy matters, working closely with global and regional stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Provide pragmatic legal advice on digital, data, and technology-related projects and initiatives.Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, including software, data sharing, and technology licensing agreements.Act as the primary legal contact for Data, Digital, and Privacy matters, ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulations.Advise on data protection and privacy issues, including GDPR, AI governance, and information security.Support business teams on product development, digital solutions, and innovation projectsLiaise with external counsel where appropriate and manage related disputes or risk matters.Stay up to date with legal developments in data, digital, and technology law, identifying risks and opportunities.Candidate Requirements:Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with strong experience in digital, IT, and data privacy law (2-5PQE).Background in a law firm or in-house environment within technology, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide clear, business-focused advice.For more information, or how to apply, please contact me at [email protected] or on 07506222628.
