But the magic depends on meticulous planning and attention to detail beforehand.So, the reality is there are two main parts to this role:-Detailed behind-the-scenes administration, preparation, planning and relationship building -On the day 'hands on’ wedding & Events co-ordination.Behind the scenesResponding to email enquiriesManaging the diaryOrganising and hosting visits and showing around prospective couplesBuilding and managing great relationships with couples and suppliersEnsuring the venue is set up and looking it's best for potential couples.Ordering supplies and managing logisticsIssuing invoices and contractsRisk assessmentsWorking with the owners to keep developing the range of events that Launcells Barton can offerOn the daySmooth running of wedding day - everything from setting up the day before, on the day support and event management, managing the bar & bar staff, to clearing up post event.Following agreed processes and procedures to make sure no detail is overlookedProblem solving and trouble shootingActing as main point of contact for wedding party and suppliersRepresent the brand and ensure Launcells Barton always looks at it’s bestTaking responsibility for the smooth and safe running of the wedding/eventMaking sure health and safety rules are upheldA BIT ABOUT YOUThere is something magical about being involved in someone’s wedding day and you’ll need to be the sort of person who quickly builds trust and establishes a rapport. Magic aside - there are some tough bits too. On a wedding day we routinely walk more than 20,000 steps and it’s not unusual for us to clean up spillages or help out behind the bar.Chances are, the ideal candidate will already have plenty of experience in planning, co-ordinating and managing weddings or events, but we will also consider candidates from other high pressure, deadline driven and customer facing environments.Whatever your background, we’ll need you to have the following skills, outlook and attitude:Self motivated with a 'can-do’ attitudeUnderstand the importance of planning and processBrilliant attention to detailOrganised, resourceful and reliableGreat at building relationships, persuading and influencingHave bags of initiative and be calm and confident in a crisisConfident and able to make decisions and make things happenHave a warm and friendly personalityEnergetic and resilient with the ability to say no and manage difficult situationsFlexible and adaptable - happy to roll up sleeves and sort out blockages that are metaphorical or literal!THE DEALThis is a permanent job with a working pattern that reflects the business we are in. You’ll be working alternate weekends and the weekends when you are working, there will be some long days. But during the week when there is no wedding or event we can be flexible in the days/times worked and it is certainly possible to do some of the work from home.You’ll enjoy being part of a family run business based at a stunning venue. No day is the same and there will be a whole variety of tasks to keep you busy. We have exciting plans for our venue and so there is a brilliant opportunity to help shape the future.Averaging 20 -25 hours a week depending on time of year.Role can expand to full time for the right person.Interviews will commence Mid April after all candidates have been considered.Accommodation is not included as part of this role.
