Summary:A well-established insurance organisation is seeking a Reporting Actuary to support the development, validation, and maintenance of their Partial Internal Model (PIM) under Solvency II. This is a hybrid role based in Buckinghamshire, offering a unique opportunity for a qualified actuary to influence reporting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.The successful candidate will lead the design and enhancement of PIM reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders across risk, finance, and underwriting functions. This role plays a vital part in integrating PIM reporting into business-as-usual operations, ensuring robust governance and effective model performance.Ideal for a qualified actuary with experience in Solvency II reporting and a background in the life insurance industry, this role requires a mix of technical expertise, regulatory awareness, and communication skills.Responsibilities:Lead the development and maintenance of Solvency II PIM reporting processes.Validate and test model outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.Design scalable and risk-aware reporting solutions.Analyse large datasets to inform model assumptions and drive insights.Ensure reporting meets all regulatory requirements, including Solvency II.Produce comprehensive documentation for reporting processes.Support the integration of PIM into regular business reporting.Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver insights.Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.Maintain compliance with relevant conduct and regulatory standards.Perform additional tasks as needed.Ideal Candidate:Qualified actuary (IFoA or equivalent) with 3–5 years of actuarial experience.Strong understanding of Solvency II reporting and the UK regulatory environment.Background in the life insurance sector.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Proactive, well-organised, and able to work independently and to deadlines.Demonstrates high attention to detail and a desire to continuously learn and develop.Effective at building relationships and working collaboratively across functions.
