Job Description Technical Shopfloor Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)Location: Broughton, North Wales (Onsite)Contract: Inside IR35Rate:26.92 per hour PAYE36.00 per hour UmbrellaIR35: Offpayroll working rules applyShift Pattern: Double Day Shift (20% shift uplift)The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a Technical Shopfloor Engineer to join a highvolume manufacturing environment supporting production operations at shopfloor level. This is an onsite contract role within a complex, regulated engineering setting, offering longterm stability and the opportunity to contribute directly to operational excellence.The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and autonomous production units, providing handson technical support and problemsolving expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport production teams and Autonomous Production Teams (APT) on the shopfloorIdentify, analyse and resolve technical issues beyond operator and firstline management capabilityProvide an endtoend technical perspective within the manufacturing environmentSupport continuous production enablement through effective use of available resources and knowledgeContribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement activitiesSupport identification and reduction of nonconformances on the shopfloorSkills & Experience RequiredProven manufacturing or production engineering experience (experience valued over qualifications)Experience working within regulated environments and to defined proceduresStrong problemsolving and analytical skillsAbility to work autonomously and proactively in a fastpaced environmentEffective communication and stakeholder engagement skillsUnderstanding of product safety and customer focus principlesHNC or equivalent qualification desirable but not essentialWork Pattern & BenefitsAlternating weekly shifts (MondayFriday):Morning: 06:00 13:10Afternoon: 13:30 20:40Paid premium overtime rates over 35 hours (+25% MondayFriday, +50% SaturdaySunday)To apply:If youre an experienced manufacturing or shopfloor engineer looking for a contract in a technically challenging production environment, please apply with your latest CV or get in touch to discuss further by calling Ellie at Carbon60 Fareham by email at [email protected]
