Through hands-on experience and expert mentorship, the successful candidate will gain knowledge in traditional and contemporary leathercraft techniques, working on real products from design to finished piece.Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position based in onsite from our beautiful Townhouse in Edinburgh City Centre.To apply please submit your CV along with a covering letter, outlining your relevant skills and experience and interest in this position by Friday 12th September 2025. Please note that CVs submitted without a covering letter will not be considered.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLearn and practice essential leatherworking skills including:Cutting, skiving, and edge-finishingStitching (machine and hand)Pattern making and templateAssembly and product constructionHandle different types of leather and understand their propertiesOperate basic workshop tools and machinery (e.g., splitting machines, sewing machines, embossing tools)Assist senior artisans and technicians on live projectsMaintain a clean and organized workspaceFollow health and safety proceduresMaintain documentation and learning logsWHAT WE OFFER29 days annual leave, plus 3 additional fixed bank holidays Never work on your birthday!
