Track TechnicianPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Job DescriptionLocation: England, Greater London, CroydonJob Type: Contract, Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry: RailSecondary Industry: EngineeringSalary: 210 PAYE or 284 UMBRELLABenefits: holiday payJob Duties:- Inspect and maintain railway tracks, ensuring they are safe for train operations- Repair and replace damaged track components- Use specialised equipment for track maintenance and repairs- Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on tracks- Assist in track construction and improvement projectsRequired Qualifications:- Experience working in the rail industryEducation:- High school diploma or equivalent- Additional vocational training in track maintenance is desirableExperience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in railway track maintenance- Hands-on experience with track inspection and repairKnowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of track maintenance procedures and best practises- Proficiency in using track maintenance equipment- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillKnowledge of the below is desirable- Experience of track patrolling- Experience with vossloh track fixing systems- Small tools and plant tickets- S&C inspections- General track maintenance activities- Track renewals activities- Lubricator maintenancePreferred Qualifications:- Certification in railway safety regulations- Previous experience working on electrified tracksWorking Conditions:- Work in outdoor environments along railway tracks- Possibility of working night shifts and weekends- Physical demands, including lifting and bendingTPBN1_UKTJ
