Our client, a leading brand in womenswear, are seeking a dynamic Head of Garment Tech to join the team and lead the technical design process for the product range. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO AMSTERDAMKey Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of garment technologists and technical designers to deliver high-quality, well-constructed garments.Oversee the technical design process from concept to production, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products.Manage fit testing, fabric selection, garment construction, and production quality control to meet product specifications.Collaborate closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless product development and timely delivery.Drive innovation in garment technology, keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technical advancements, and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the production phase to ensure minimal delays or disruptions.Ensure all garments meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and functionality while maintaining brand integrity.Work closely with senior leadership to align technical strategies with overall business goals and objectives.Key Requirements:Extensive experience in garment technology, including pattern-making, fabric selection, construction, and quality control.Proven track record of managing and leading technical teams in a fast-paced fashion or apparel environment.Strong understanding of garment fit, construction methods, and production techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges efficiently.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.A deep passion for fashion and a commitment to producing high-quality, innovative products.A degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology, garment design, or a related field is preferred.
