Job Title: Formulation Scientist (Dietary Supplements) Location: Remote (EU) Reports To: Senior Director-Global Formulation and Functional ScienceAbout the Role Join TSI’s dynamic R&D team to drive innovation in dietary supplements. You will develop science-backed, commercially viable formulations across diverse health categories, supporting both internal initiatives and customer-driven projects. This role blends technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to accelerate product development and market success. We are seeking a seasoned formulator with a solid understanding of EU supplement regulations and a strong background in developing formulations with clinically substantiated ingredients.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Formulation DevelopmentLead formulation projects annually (customizations, updates, or full-scale developments).Ensure formulations are scientifically robust, compliant with EU regulations, and commercially viable, incorporating clinically supported ingredients where applicable.Maintain rigorous documentation and version control via TSI/TS platforms.Cross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with Sales, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.Support sales with technical expertise during customer visits, presentations, and bid defenses.Innovation & Market IntelligenceContribute to TSI’s innovation pipeline by identifying trends, scientific advancements, and novel ingredients with clinical substantiation.Represent TSI at trade shows (e.g., Vitafoods) to showcase capabilities.Technical Content CreationDevelop marketing/sales collateral (e.g., whitepapers, formulation rationale, claim support documents).Key Performance IndicatorsAnnual Formulation Projects: prioritized by complexity/business impactOn-Time Delivery RateFormulation Quality & Commercial ReadinessInnovation Pipeline ContributionCustomer Satisfaction (Technical Support)Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field.Experience:5–10 years in dietary supplement formulation with specific expertise in the EU market.Proven experience working with clinically substantiated ingredients and strong knowledge of EU food supplement regulations.Proficiency with formulation software (e.g., ESHA, Genesis) and PLM systems.Skills:Ability to translate scientific data into market-ready products.Strong project management and cross-functional leadership.Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.Work EnvironmentLocation: Fully remote (EU-based).
