Join our Anchorage team and play a vital role in delivering two of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in EuropeHinkley Point C and Sizewell C.The OpportunityEDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E)is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-Es integrated teams.As a Civil Anchorage Engineer, youll be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and verifying anchorage systems that ensure the structural integrity of critical nuclear infrastructure. Youll work across disciplines and projects, contributing to both current construction and future replication efforts.Pay, Benefits & CultureThe salary range associated with this role starts from 54,000 dependent on experience (Grade B). Thats why we support you to pursue a career thats unique to you.Because success is personal.What Youll Be DoingYoull be responsible for the design, analysis, and integration of anchorage systemssuch as embedded plates, anchor bolts, and post-installed anchorsinto the civil structures of HPC and SZC. Your work will ensure these systems meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.Working closely with civil, mechanical, and structural teams, youll validate technical drawings, models, and documentation, and contribute to design reviews and coordination meetings. Your input will be essential during construction, where youll support site teams with technical queries and ensure quality assurance.This is a role where your engineering expertise will directly impact the safety and success of the UKs next-generation nuclear power stations.Who You AreYoull be experienced in Civil or Structural Engineering with knowledge of structural design, ideally within nuclear or high-integrity infrastructure projects. Youre confident working with anchorage systems and familiar with both cast-in and post-installed solutions.Youre proficient in structural analysis tools like RSTAB, ANSYS, or Hilti Profis, and have a solid understanding of Eurocodes, ETC-C, and UK nuclear regulations. Your communication skills are strong, and youre comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.Experience with EPR projects, seismic anchorage design, or BIM tools like Navisworks is a plus.
