Together, well help Britain achieve Net ZeroAre you ready for the opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on one of the UKs most ambitious infrastructure projects?The OpportunityEDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E)is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-Es integrated teams.As a Group Lead, youll play a pivotal role in shaping the engineering future of HPC and SZC. Youll lead a team of specialists, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and collaboration across projects. Because success is personal.What Youll Be DoingAs Group Lead, youll oversee the functional management of your team, ensuring their development, competence, and alignment with project needs. Youll lead recruitment, manage resources, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality engineering delivery.Youll be the bridge between technical excellence and project execution, ensuring consistency across teams and projects. Your leadership will help embed lessons learned, uphold safety standards, and drive innovation across the engineering lifecycle.Collaboration is key. Youll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, HR, procurement, and technical authorities. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining a strong nuclear safety culture and a supportive, inclusive working environment.Who You AreYou bring deep technical knowledge in your discipline, with a strong grasp of engineering codes, standards, and safety regulations. Youre a confident communicator, able to build relationships across diverse teams and lead with empathy and clarity.You hold a degree (Bachelors or Masters) in engineering and have substantial experience in your technical field. You understand the EPR engineering process and have a track record of managing people, projects, and performance. Experience on the HPC project and a working level of French would be advantageous.Youre organised, collaborative, and passionate about delivering high standards. Youre fluent in English and comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office and Navisworks.
