People Solutions are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our client based in Severn Beach. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay. Shifts: Working four days out of seven (will include weekend working) 11-hour shifts: start times between 3pm - 6pm Pay Rates: 17.36 per hour basic 20.26 per hour - 25.91 per hour overtime Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be: Online Worker Portal Employee Assistance program Holiday entitlement of 28 days per year pro-rata, accrued as you work Ongoing work Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be: Driving Category CE Vehicles safely and efficiently (trunking) Driving from the depot in Severn Beach to depot in Yorkshire Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code Maintain all health and safety standards Complete all deliveries as required Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy Communicate any issues / delays effectively Abide by all working time rules and regulation Essential Skills: The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Hold a full UK Category CE Driving Licence Hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)/Driver CPC Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card Good communication skills Must have at least two years experience driving Category CE vehicles Desirable Experience: Previous trunking experience Training: Must pass a driving assessment and then undergo a full paid induction Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
