HGV Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Avonmouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team. Roles: HGV Class 1 Afters - 17:00pm start - Sunday & Tuesday to Friday HGV Class 1 Nights - part time - 22:00pm - 23:59pm (typically Friday and Sunday with additional shifts through the week where required) HGV Class 2 Days - part time - 07:00am - Typically Monday and Saturday with additional shifts through the week where required) HGV Class 2 Nights - part time - 22:00pm - 23:59pm (typically Friday and Sunday with additional shifts through the week where required) Pay Rate: Afters Class 1 - 17.29 Per Hour PAYE Nights Class 1 - 19.20 Per Hour PAYE Days Class 2 - 15.60 Per Hour PAYE Nights Class 2 - 17.59 Per Hour PAYE Location: Avonmouth BS11 Job Type : Ongoing with opportunity for perm The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs with 4-5 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E). Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). 1 months experience required Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. A safety-first mindset.
