OverviewWe are currently looking for a talentedTechnical Coordinatorto join our team atWesterleigh , supporting the Technical Manager and ensuring food safety, quality and compliance with standards throughout the production process. This role involves managing technical documentation and audits, coordinating with various teams and suppliers, and investigating complaints. Shift : Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week. ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with the Site Technical Manager and the Quality Systems Manager to implement systems at factory level and drive continuous improvement. Monitor and maintain product quality through inspection and auditing of the production process. Support operations in improving standards through internal audits, training and corrective actions within the scope of the role. Interact with representatives of outside organisations including customers, suppliers and enforcing authorities such as EHO and TSO as required. Maintain all aspects of the Quality System as set by the Site Technical Manager and customer requirements. Continuously improve standards by monitoring hygiene, quality and food safety on a daily basis. Record and manage daily incidents and drive improvements through correct implementation of HACCP, GMP and hygiene. Identify an appropriate level of pest control to maintain product safety and minimise the risk of pest contamination to product and premises. Maintain knowledge of all products and ensure raw materials used meet the requirements of the QAS; investigate deviations and take corrective actions as needed. Assist with customer visits and third-party audits and actively support the Site Technical Team as required. Skills & KnowledgeGood level of English literacy and numeracy; attention to detail and ability to write clearly in English. Internal auditing experience and knowledge – desirable. Knowledge of key legislation relating to the food industry with a foundation/intermediate level qualification in food safety and HACCP. Organised and able to work to tight deadlines. Demonstrate exceptional GMP standards to achieve high-quality products. Minimise safety hazards to provide a safe working environment.
