Job Description Adult Clinical Lead Community Complex CareLocation: Bristol / Somerset Salary: Up to 55,000 plus 5,000 car allowance Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, hybrid working, no nights or weekends Are you an experienced adult nurse looking for an Adult Clinical Lead role that offers genuine clinical autonomy, a manageable caseload, and an excellent work-life balance? This opportunity allows you to lead a small caseload of just 6 community adult complex care packages, giving you the time and clinical headspace to focus on quality, safety, and person-centred care. You will join a large, established, and award-winning complex care provider delivering specialist community services across Bristol and Somerset. The Role As an Adult Clinical Lead, you will act as the named clinical lead for your allocated packages. You will have protected time for assessments, care planning, and clinical oversight, rather than rota-filling or firefighting shifts. You will support adults with complex needs while providing leadership, training, and supervision to community care teams, ensuring consistently high clinical standards across each package. What we are looking forRegistered Nurse (Adult) with an active NMC PINMinimum of 18 months UK adult nursing experienceRecent hands-on experience with complex care skills such as tracheostomy care, ventilators, PEG feeding or neurological conditions within the last 2 yearsStrong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teamsBand 5 or Band 6 nurses with leadership experience encouraged to applyFull UK driving licence is essentialKey responsibilitiesAct as the named clinical lead for a defined caseload of 6 care packagesDevelop and review bespoke care plans tailored to individual clinical needsProvide clinical oversight and ongoing support to community care teamsComplete assessments, monitoring, and clinical interventionsWork closely with MDTs, CHC nurses, and commissioners to maintain high-quality care packagesBuild trusted relationships with service users, families, and external stakeholdersWhat is on offerSalary up to 55,000 per annum depending on experience5,000 car allowance45p per mile business mileageHybrid working with 2 days from home and 3 days in the communityMonday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with no weekends or nightsCaseload capped at 6 care packages33 days annual leavePrivate pension schemeStructured learning and development programmeCompany mobile phone and laptop providedWhy nurses stay This Adult Clinical Lead role offers a clinically manageable workload, strong governance, and genuine time to focus on outcomes rather than volume, within a stable and growing organisation.
