As a vital part of our team you'll be hands-on in delivering high-quality CNC components to keep our busy production schedule running smoothly.Youll take pride in your work, keeping a close eye on quality control before handing cut elements over to the creative team for assembly, art working and finishing.Key Responsibilities:Programme 3 and 4 axis CNC machines & set up sheet material (timbers, plastics, thin metals etc) for cuttingTranslate 3D drawings into cut ready filesEdit cad drawings provided (factoring in tolerance, sacrificial margins etc)Layout cutting files optimising economical use of materialCollaborate with the design & production team, providing feedback on manufacturability of designsInspect, clean and organise cut elements ready for the next processKeep an eye on production schedule and manage workflow coming throughComplete routine maintenance of machinesMaintain basic levels of stock materials and help to forecast material demandMaintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with safety regulationsEssential Skills & Experience:Minimum of 2 years experienceProficient with 2D and 3D cad software (e.g Rhino 8, Solidworks, Autocad)Ability to read technical drawings accuratelyGood time management and teamwork skillsMotivated self-starter with a positive outlookBasic level of physical fitness due to manual handling of sheet materialsBonus:Experienced with laser cutters and/or 3D printersPrevious fabrication and assembly experienceForklift certificationHow to apply:Send your CV to [email protected] Info:Start date - Mid July onwardsContract - Permanent, full timeHours - 40 hrs a weekSalary - Negotiable (based on skills & experience)Holiday - 20 days + 8 bank hols.
