The Role:As a Skilled Fitter, you'll be supporting the assembly of aircraft wing structures within a fast-paced, precision-driven setting. The role is varied and hands-on, including tasks such as: Drilling, riveting, reaming and countersinking using Vanmar toolsAssembly of metallic aircraft structuresDeburring and fettlingTouch-up treatments on aluminiumUsing CNC pillar drills (DONAU)Working from jigs and drawings to high-quality standardsRequirements: Recognised Level 3 Indentured Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 with 3–5 years of relevant aerospace experienceAbility to pass a Trade Test at Filton (metallics structural test)Experience working to SOPs and in a lean manufacturing environmentComfortable using SAP systems and adhering to quality/health 'safety proceduresHours & Pay: Potential shift depending on site need: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 7am–4:15pmCore rate: £19.40 (without stamp) / £20.19 (with stamp)Weekday overtime: £24.25–£25.24Weekend overtime: £29.10–£30.29Security Clearance:Baseline security clearance is required prior to start.
