It would be beneficial to be on-site 2-3 days a week, depending on the project needs and working remotely other days.A great opportunity for an Electronic Design Engineer to deploy their skills in the interesting and engaging field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)!The EMC Design Engineer will be joining the EMC Project Team which supports programmes throughout the full engineering lifecycle. It will specifically focus on design for EMC and RE.The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radiation Effects (RE) department is split between a test team working hands-on in our state of the art EMC Facility to simulate environments and a highly skilled project consultancy team that is embedded across all projects within the business to ensure good EMC practice & design.The EMC Design Engineer will focus on providing the project teams with advice and guidance on the design of products to ensure that they meet the EMC requirements. They will also be responsible for designing and producing test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions. They will support the development of a unique test capability for the facility.Skill and Experience;Higher education or significant experience within subject fields: Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or similarSignificant experience in Electronic Design, development, and deliveryExperience in leading significant electronic design work packagesExcellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of electronic technologiesExperience with SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, ORCAD)Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limitsExcellent Analytical and problem-solving skillsCapable of working autonomously to meet the delivery needs of the companyDesirable Experience;Good Understanding of EMC and design principlesKnowledge in the application of a military EMC standard to system, sub-system or equipment level is desirable (e.g. Defence Standard 59-41 / 59-411, AECTP500, Mil-Std-461, RTCA DO160 / EUROCAE ED-14)Engineers with previous experience in delivering support around the subject of electromagnetic compatibilityExperience in a defence or safety-regulated environment would be advantageousExperience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.Even if you feel like you don't meet every qualification, we encourage you to reach out and apply.Company Benefits;Bonus: Up to 2,500 (based on performance).Pension: Up to 14% total contribution.Parental Leave: Enhanced parental, maternity, and shared parental leave.Flexi Leave: Up to 15 additional days.Facilities: On-site perks like subsidised meals and free parking.Training and Development: Excellent opportunities for career progression and skill developmentCompany Details;The company are a multi-national group, being No 1 in Europe for what they do!
