Quantity Surveyor

Job Description Location:Rolls-Royce, BristolRole Purpose:You will be supporting other more senior members of the commercial team in delivering the varied commercial duties for our Rolls-Royce projects, as well as being responsible for procuring and managing our supply chain. You will actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for our client.What you will be doingMeasure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and proceduresWork with PM and single source contractor over value engineering reductionsMeasure & interpret specifications & drawingsBuild up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimatesTranslate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and/or Schedules of ratesProvide input and commercial adjudication to potential tenders (Go/No-go, etc)Review weekly, monthly, programmes of worksPlan commercial activities to meet requirements of programmesHave an understanding of delay and disruption programmes Use the companys Evolution MX SystemPrepares, submits and negotiates claims when required.
