The Role Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Bristol office. This is a key role within the civil engineering team, offering the opportunity to take a hands-on position in the design, coordination and delivery of residential-led infrastructure projects, alongside other development work.The role offers a broad mix of responsibilities, including civil design, drainage, highways/interface coordination and client liaison, with the chance to remain actively involved in design rather than moving into a purely managerial position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the civil engineering design of residential and mixed-use developmentsPreparation and review of designs for:Highways and access infrastructureSurface and foul water drainageLevels, earthworks and external worksDelivery of projects from concept through detailed design and technical approval stagesWork with and manage junior engineers and techniciansLiaise with clients, local authorities and project stakeholdersCoordinate with internal structural and multidisciplinary teamsContribute to project planning, programme delivery and commercial awarenessAbout YouEssential: Strong experience in residential infrastructure designBackground in a UK civil engineering design consultancyMinimum 6+ years' industry experienceConfident client-facing skills with commercial awarenessSolid experience with Section Agreements:Section 278 (highways)Section 38 (adoptable roads)Section 104 (drainage)Section 185 (water mains)Proficient in AutoCAD and civil design software such as:Civil 3DInfoDrainage (or equivalent drainage tools)Hands-on engineer who enjoys remaining involved in design and project deliveryWell organised, with strong written and verbal communication skillsAmbitious and motivated, looking to take the next step in a senior-level roleWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageLong-term career progression within a stable consultancyExposure to a varied workload across residential and development-led projectsSupportive team environment with flexibility and autonomyOpportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the Bristol teamJBRP1_UKTJ
