Job DescriptionALTEN Ltd is seeking an experiencedMechanical Systems Installation Engineerto support high-profile aerospace programmes within the UK. This role will place you at the centre ofsystems installation design and integration , working on complex platforms that demand innovative solutions. You will be responsible for deliveringdetailed design , ensuring compliance with safety and certification requirements, and coordinating across multiple engineering functions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of advanced aircraft. Location:Bristol On-Site Requirement:Full Time Security Clearance:No current restrictions Key Responsibilities Deliver detailedMechanical Systems Installation (MSI) designfor hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, and electrical systems across aerospace wing programmes. Providetechnical leadershipand act as a point of authority for installation design activities. Serve as aDesign Signatory , ensuring compliance with design, safety, and certification standards. Leadsystem integration activities , ensuring that structures, systems, and components are correctly aligned and meet programme requirements. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external partners to achieve integrated design solutions. Ensure manufacturing readiness by aligning design outputs with production and assembly requirements. Manage design changes, modifications, and concession activities to maintain delivery and technical compliance. QualificationsExperience, Skills and Qualifications needed: Qualifications and Experience Degree inAerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field . Extensive experience inaerospace systems installation design and integration . Proven ability to work onmajor OEM aircraft programmesand deliver to industry standards. Experience as aDesign Signatoryor equivalent authority in mechanical or systems installations. Strong understanding ofaircraft systems(hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, and related domains). Background in managingmulti-disciplinary teamsand coordinating with global partners or suppliers. Key Skills Strongleadership and communicationskills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Excellentproblem-solving and integrationcapability. Effective at making sound technical decisions under pressure. Proficiency withCAD/PLM tools(e.g., CATIA, DMU, or equivalent).
