Job Description Associate Planner BristolBlack Box Planning | Full-time | Office-based | Salary: 40,00055,000 (depending on experience)Black Box Planning is an independent town planning consultancy delivering high-quality advice across development management, appeals, strategic land promotion, policy and research, environmental and design coordination, community engagement, due diligence and public sector support.We are looking to appoint an Associate Planner to join our growing Bristol office, supporting the delivery of projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take a leading role within a collaborative team, and to help shape the continued growth of the practice.The RoleAs an Associate Planner, you will:Lead and manage a varied caseload of projects from inception through to determinationProvide clear strategic advice to clients, consultants and stakeholdersPrepare and oversee high-quality planning applications, supporting statements and appeal submissionsRepresent clients at meetings with local authorities and project teamsSupport Directors in project delivery, workload management and client account developmentHelp mentor and support junior team members, promoting best practice and professional growthContribute to business development and the wider profile of Black Box PlanningAbout YouYou will have:Around 10 years professional planning experience (public or private sector)MRTPI (essential)Strong experience in development management and planning strategyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver consistently high standardsStrong professional judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approachWhy Join Black Box Planning?We pride ourselves on being approachable, collaborative and highly committed to quality.
