Senior Procurement Category Manager

We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in Bristol , who are recruiting for a Senior Procurement Category Manager on a permanent basis . The position is due to start immediately , dependant on notice. The salary on offer is 51,753 - 58,225 . The ideal candidate will have an MCIPS qualification and proven knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Driving and maintaining improvement initiatives to support the procurement and supply chain department Maintaining compliance with PCR2015 and PA23 regulations throughout procurement processes Analysing and monitoring market trends to make informed procurement decisions Designing and implementing category strategies in line with organisational goals Securing optimal terms and conditions by leading supplier negotiations Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and opportunities Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance standards are met Providing support and guidance on procurement policies and procedures Experience required: MCIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience Knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations Strong category management experience working within the public sector Proven supplier management and negotiation skills Ability to develop and deliver strategic procurement plans Commitment to compliance and delivering value in procurement activities Ability to analyse market trends and develop improvements Rewards and Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Hybrid working Flexible working Competitive contributory final pension scheme Healthcare saving schemes Cycle-to-work scheme TOTUM card availability Vivup discounts Maternity and paternity/co-parent leave Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
